Some might consider Mr. Dior a late bloomer, given he debuted his first collection on February 12, 1947 at the age of 42. But what a first collection it was, making international headlines immediately and being heralded as “The New Look.”
What remains with me most from this exhibit is Scott's playfulness. He brings many things back from your childhood like Fruit Loops, Hershey's chocolate bars and McDonald's French fries and puts them into a dress, a hat or a bag.
